Mother's Day!!

I know I always post a TON of pics, but I just love pictures!! We had a beautiful day right before we left for our trip so I took Maddi to her cousin Jared's house to have some fun in the sun!! She liked being in the little pool, that was until he dunked her head under the water, then she was much more cautious! (Don't worry, I was right there!) It's actually funny she was bothered by it, b/c she LOVES to stick her face in the water when she's in the bath! (It's kind of scares me she likes that!)Then on the way home, she was VERY tired and she hugged her sippi cup and fell asleep holding it in the car.
So as I said, Maddi and I went on a trip.We went to South Carolina last week for my cousin's wedding. We had a fun time!! We drove there, which is just over a 1,000 miles EACH WAY! Maddi has hated her carseat since she was a little newborn, so I was expecting the worst! But Maddi did great! I was very relieved to say the least. Though our trip was lots of fun, Scott had to stay home to go to work =( we missed him very much and were glad to be back home with him! Maddi screamed out of excitement when he walked in the door (he was at work when we got him) and hugged him, kissed him and cuddled him all night long. She sure missed her Daddy. Maddi is growing and learning more everyday. Her new words of the week are, nice and cool. She also said, "Mummy, I ya you!" It was so sweet to hear her tell me she loves me! Sometimes 17 month olds can be a challege, but the rewards outweigh everything. That was surely the sweetest reward of all! She is such a sweet girl!!
