Maddi's 3rd birthday is coming up, and so we decided this would be awesome to do for her birthday! As you can see she had lots of fun, and loved seeing all the princesses. It was fun for us to watch her and her expression-filled face. Sydney was a wiggle worm and got very tired, but we had a great night. We love Maddi so much and love to see her happy and excited, she's such a sweetie.

First Tooth! 10/26/09

Syndey now has a tooth! Her bottom left. We dont have a picture yet..it's not through enough to really see...just the littlle buds popped through. I have mixed feelings about this... though I'm glad she's getting teeth (and i have no choice in the matter :), I will miss the cute little gummy mouth.

My little Syndey is 9 months old! Did you notice the date on the picture says its 2005?! HA! Our camera reset, and I forgot to fix the date...obviously. Anyways, here she is Oct 21, 2009. She had her checkup yesterday and she is 27 inches (25%) and 17lbs 3oz (10%) so she's kind of a peanut but nice and healthy! We love this girl.
Maddi will be 3 next month, seriously hard to believe. Both girls had flu shots yesterday, and Maddi didn't even cry! She was so brave getting her "big shots" (thats what she called it) even though the big kids around her were blubbering babies (I hate needles myself I have to admit).

Afterwards we did fries and a shake...even her baby got a bandaid (Maddi loves band-aids) whether there is blood or not, she will ask for one if she gets hurt! Silly girl!

The little mark under her nose/above her lip is from a picture frame falling and happening to hit her right there...though it had already healed quite a bit. I took her to the hospital (it was night time, and a sunday) and they glued the falp of skin back up to where it was supposed to be. ehh..

WOW. I can't believe I havnt posted anything since june! We went to Maine for 3 1/2 weeks from June to July. Some amazing memories for the kids, lots of fun, laughter and craziness, with some sadness-hard times, mixed in as well. (joe got married! and my loving Uncle John passed away while we were there.)
But, you know me, I'm a picture freak, so I took SO many pictures there, it was over whelming to do blog posts! Then, right after we got back we moved! enough said? so I put it off. and put it off.. and then put it off some more! and it only got harder to catch up! so even though I like posting pictures individually it was just too much, so a slideshow it is! Most pictures are from Maine, and some are fairly recent. more recent ones to come :)

Holy Catch Up!!

Why do I do this to myself? It's no secret that I take ALOT of pics, but since I do I always need alot of time to organize, upload etc. So I really should post more often, a few pics at a time, when I take them. Instead of doing this..posting a month's worth of pics at a time. Which takes FOREVER b/c blogger uploads them so S..L..O..W.. its kinda annoying. I know I could do more slideshows, but like the pictures up there seperately. Anyways, here's whats been going on since Easter.

I when I was going through the pics on my camera, I couldn't believe I got a pic of her falling! Just shows you how fast things can happen. Of course I tossed the camera once I saw she was falling but apparently I clicked it first. kinda funny. Well, funny isn't really the right word. Anyways, she was okay, a few bumps but no blood. She's a tough girl, and usually more coordinated than this, but there were geese (to the right of where she was) and one made a loud funny sound, and well, the picture explains..she looked and wasn't watching her next step. Poor girl.

We will be putting her in a big-girl bed as soon as we can get our hands on a truck! I don't think I am ready for that change, but I don't really have a choice.

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday, Maddi had fun hunting for eggs, and the girls looked too cute at church in their matching dresses from Grammie Sue!

Just wanted to take a moment and share that I am so grateful for my Savior, and for his sacrifice for me, that I can be forgiven, and that my wonderful family can be forever. Hope everyone had a good Easter Sunday!

So, the grocery store by our house does an Easter egg hunt for the local kids every year.. and we got there just a few minutes late and all the eggs were gone! (All the big kids had full baskets...stinkers!) Anyway, some employee saw her empty bucket and dumped a half a bag of milky ways (YUM) in her bucket. So as you can see on her face, she was very happy!

The last week the weather has been AWESOME!!! This was even 7:30 in the evening and she only needed a light sweatshirt! Though last year Maddi was fearless of the TALL playground...however this year she has realized just how high up she is, and is a little afraid. But everytime she gets better and more comfortable.

It was so fun for Scott and I b/c we got to see Maddi all excited and soo happy! Unfortunately the battery in our camera died after the first 10 minutes!!! Bummer, b/c she only got more excited! What a fun night for us. Thank you Baldwins!!

We were laying on the bed, and I started laughing b/c Sydney was pulling some funny faces, so Maddi started laughing too... which made me laugh harder, then she laughed harder..and so on.. meanwhile... as you can tell from Sydney's face she was a bit surprised and didn't quite know what was going on! Her cute little face with her eyes popping out just makes me laugh! And Maddi LOVES holding hands, so Sydney may not have a choice as to whether she will like it or not... Maddi has already made that decision for her! They are so cute together, I LOVE THEM!!!!!

Well, I finally took Sydney to church, (becides her blessing day...which we only went to Sacrament meeting). It was fairly uneventful =) kind of like before I had her, except it took longer to get ready, and instead of holding her in my belly, I held her in my arms....she slept the whole time! What a good girl! And Maddi got to enjoy nursrey, like always!

So poor Maddi hadn't been to nursrey since 2 weeks before I had Sydney. I didn't want her getting sick...(if you read my previous blog entries you'll know this approach did me no good anyway!!) but, we were feeling very guilty about her not going b/c she LOVES it! So I stayed home with Sydney one last week, but Scott took Maddi. So, anyways, here is her cute dress from Great Grammie Cooper!

Well, Sydney went back to sleep and Maddi is jabbering away playing happily in her her crib...so I decided to try and get this las post done real quick! yay, I did it! Same story with this slideshow of pics =) though ther aren't as many!
Sydney had a wonderful blessing day! Thanks for all the family and friends who came to see her on her special day. She is our sweet angel and Maddi was very happy to have all her family at church with her! Her beautiful dress was made by her loving Grammie Sue! And the pictures of just Sydney have the special blankets made by her great grandmothers. They were made and used for Maddi's blessing day, and now it was Sydney's turn to be wrapped up in their warmth and love since her great grandmothers couldn't be there in person. The white one was made by Great Grammie Allen, and the pink one be Great Grammie Cooper.

Oh my..... so i have signed on my blog several times, to start posting new pictures and i just can't! we (okay...I) have taken somewhere over 700 in the last 2 weeks... i dont know where to start. of course im not looking to post all of them, but come on...how are you supposed to choose favorites when you take that many?! Also, you can only do 5 at a time and blogger takes forever to load them! (that really drives me nuts!) so i am just going to figure out how to do a slideshow of some pics... (advice welcomed!!) but that will have to wait..Sydney is calling me now =) life is good, though we really miss grammie and grampa!!!!! thanks to all who have checked in on us and sent well-wishes!! pictures soon.... only one for now...

Here's the story....book....

Poor sick Maddi in the hospital! But she actually looks better here b/c she had been on the IV for while..

And me...just in a different part of the hospital!

Well, where to start?? So I think I last posted that I was supposed to be induced on Wed. Jan 21 unless the baby had already come...(which of course she didn't!). So, the Sunday before the induction date Maddi woke up from her nap early, and when we went in her room...she and her crib were COVERED in throw up!!!!!!!!!! I about died! I had even kept her home from nursery b/c I was afraid of her getting sick right before I had the baby! seesh. So, poor Maddi was so sick and couldnt keep anything down. Grammy Sue got here Monday evening and was just in time to help us take care of Maddi, who was just getting worse. By Tuesday we took her to the Dr. b/c she hadnt keep anything down since Sunday. We ended up needing to bring her to the hospital where they could give her an IV and watch her over night. Giving and IV to a 2 year old, well lets just say its not easy. It took 2 nurses, me, my mom and Scott (he had to step away a few times...poor daddy..) to hold her down for them to draw blood and get the IV in. It was completely heartbreaking. She cried and begged "let go, let go!! help!, hold you..." anything to make us stop... Well, apparently that was stressful enough to send me into labor. About 7pm (ish) we were just hanging out in Maddi's hospital room and I was feeling mighty uncomfortable, but decided that it simply couldn't be labor...not then...and tried to talk myself out of it, ignore it...but nothing worked then they were getting worse... (ANY other day before then, I would have been completely happy to have had her!!) So, about 11:30pm (on tuesday) Mom and I left Scott to stay the night with Maddi in the hospital. I was going to try and sleep as much as I could (though I was fairly certain I was going to tell them I would hold off on being induced b/c of Maddi being so sick). So went to bed about 12:00am Wednesday morning, only to be woken up by the phone at 1:30am by Scott who was completely sick and throwing up at the hospital....

So mom went to the hospital, and Scott came home to sleep...poor guy was SOO sick! I was still having contractions, and they were still getting stronger.. so much for sleep...so I called my doctor and he wanted me to go in and get checked out. So by 3am, we were going back to the hospital...only, I couldn't drive of course, and scott hardly could b/c he was so sick. We made it there, and Scott waited in the waiting room so he wouldnt be spreading his sickness to all the other expecting moms/nurses, me...etc.. I was dialated to a 3 and 90% effaced. This baby was coming within the next 24 hours. I sent the sicky home to sleep (and throw up and what-not) since i figured I'd be in labor for a while... my sis-in law came to keep me company and help me. (THANK YOU!!!!) They gave me medication to speed up the contractions (I figured since she was coming anyway, I better just get the medication and not be in labor for 24 hours like I was with Maddi!) I also recieved and epidural b/c the contractions were getting so bad. I LOVE the epidural, and plan on using one every time =) anyways, by later that morning I was dialated to a 5, and then they broke my water, and I went from a 5 to a 10 in an hour!!!!!!!!!!! I called Scott, he came, and he was covered in hospital gear and a mask, and stood in the corner of the room with the camera. After about 15-20 of pushing we had our little girl!! Scott only looked at her from a distance, got to see her little face and then had to leave. That was very sad and hard for me (I'm sure for him too). I was so happy to finally have the baby and so worried about Scott and Maddi. and worried about me and/or the baby getting sick... (Maddi was released from the hospital right before I was about to start pushing). Anyways, Scott and Maddi are better, baby and I are home and well, thank goodness! What a crazy time! Though, I am very grateful mom was here, my labor was much easier this time (and recovery!) and that my family is healthy again and I have 2 beautiful girls! I am also glad the hospital is under 10 minutes away!!

Sydney has been wonderful, and Maddi's been adjusting as well as can be expected. (though she says NO alot and screams...) thats sure getting old! =)

WHEW!! Anyways, (sorry that was sooo long, but I'm glad I have this all written down now, its easy to forget times and details..)

Sydney Marie Baker!!

Welcome to our sweet little girl! She was born on 1/21/09 at 10:45am. She was 7lbs 10oz and 18inches long! There is kind of a long story behind her coming here, but I will save that for another day.. but she's here and healthy and my labor/delivery was much easier and shorter than it was with Maddi. Maddi loves her baby sister but is having a little bit of a hard time b/c she still can't really touch her b/c of being sick... (part of that long story I was talking about). Anyways, here are a few pics for now, and I will be updating over the next few days as I get the chance!!

Maddi and Sophie were supposed to follow Taylee (who is 4) down the aisle. Maddi followed her (VERY SLOWLY), and Sophie went the opposite way at first. She got turned around, and then her and Maddi decided that it was "a mess!" and were trying to pick up the flower pedals Taylee had already dropped along her way... they continued to do so until I had to go get them and lead them out! It was funny and cute. I didn't get any pictures of that though (b/c I had to go to the front and coax them toward me, and eventually just grab them!) but I know other people got some...so I need copies!

No I'm not in labor... (I wish).....
Well, I keep meaning to have Scott take a picture of my belly, since this pregnancy is almost done! But we've been slackers.. I promise I will take one sometime this weekend! I only have until THIS Wednesday to go!!! YAYAYAYAYAAY!!! If she doesnt come by the 21st, then my doc will induce me. I was 2 1/2cm dilated and 70% effaced as of last Monday (I was 2cm and 60% the Monday before that) So I am excited (sort-of..) for my appt this Monday to see if there has been anymore progress. I guess its doesnt really matter since either way we should have her in our arms by Wednesday night or Thursday morning!! We are so excited! and nervous about the big changes this will bring, especially for Maddi! Still no name, and she won't have one until we see her little face! Her blessing day will be Feb 1, she will be so young and tiny, but thats when Grammy Sue and Grampa are here. Mom comes on Monday! YAY!

New things to color with...we almost couldn't get her to open anything else after she saw these... (they are actually little paint brushes..) Good choice Santa...you know her so well!!

Maddi's favorite movie has been Sleeping Beauty, which she calls "seepin" or "no touch" because Princess Aurora isn't supposed to touch the spindle of the spinning wheel... so Maddi yells "NO TOUCH" at her with great concern... So Grammie Sue sent her the Sleeping Beauty barbie doll =) after every present maddi opened she gasped! no matter what it was... Christmas was so FUN with Maddi!!!!!!!!!!

This was her reaction when we finally turned on the christmas lights!! And pretty much has been everytime since. All she says when we drive in the car and see lights on the houses is "look!! pretty lights!" its so sweet.

I think this bottom one is my favorite... but i also love the top one too, and the one where she's holding the flower up by her chest and looking away from the camera! ah! I love them all. There were a few more, but I couldn't even order all of these! It's a shame they charge an arm and a leg for pictues.. oh well...
Maddi did pretty good after a few mintues, at first she was very serious so I was afraid we weren't going to get any with her beautiful smile...but then the photographer tried to snatch the flower away (playing of course) and didn't get it away from Maddi, so Maddi thought it was fun teasing the lady by holding the flower out and pulling it away from her while the photographer "tried" to get it....that how we got most of the smiles. Though it was still hard to get Maddi to stay in one place and not run around and play like she wanted to! On a side note, I didnt think the flower she had was very pretty..but its how we got the smiles, so I figured I could live with it!!

2 years of our wonderful, happy, fun loving Maddi! We feel so blessed to have her. Here is how she has grown! The day she was born,(the pics say the 26th but the date on our camera was a day off!!) Then her first birhday, and then today!! What a big girl! We love her so..

New Dress from Grammie and Grampa!

Grammie and Grampa sent such a CUTE dress!! She had just gotten up from her nap when we opened her package, she's a little mellow and messy hair, but oh-well, she still looks so cute, especially in that dress! THANK YOU!! Also, Aunt Cheryl sent the Baker's apron and hat! Thats as good as we got for pictures of her in it for now. We'll try again when she is more awake!!

Maddi got a package from Maine! Thank yous to Grammie and Grampa, Aunt Cheryl, Aunt Alice and cousins Jared, Kenzie and Zander! Maddi had lots of fun opening her gifts and looking at the colored pictures just for her! (It made her want to color!)

Birthday Party #1!!

Sunday night we had Uncle Matt & Margaret, Zach, Kacie, Bailey, Addison, Tori, Courtney, Andrew, and Brynn come over to celebrate Maddi turning 2 tomorrow! We had lots of fun and Maddi got some fun toys and cute clothes. She got a Mr. Potato Head and she thought she was hilarious when she pulled the pieces off of him (the picure with the big smile is her laughing b/c she did it) Also, she got to hold little Addison (with help of course) and was very concerned when the baby cried..."baby cry", "no cry" she would say. It was cute... good practice! =) Also, when we sang happy birthday to her, as I brought the cake up to her she said "hot" and turned away from the candle! It was funny.. she also sniffed the cake instead of blowing the candle out! Silly girl!

Sunday again!!

It was pretty cold out, so I took pictures fast once I took her sweater off!(so we could actually see the dress in the pictures). As you can see in one of the pictures she is kind of bent over with her hands together..she was said "coold!" So we stopped and put her sweater on and went inside for lunch!

These bunny slippers were given to Maddi by Gram A and Cheryl almost a year ago I think, they still fit and she thought they were so cute and funny!

This was pretty funny, Maddi was walking around our house with my bathrobe on, and had the most serious look on her face... she was all business.. she had her arms though the opposite sleeves (though I didnt quite get a picture of it..)and HAd to have the hood on, usually with it mostly covering her face.

Happy Halloween!

So I post alot of pictures, I know.... just imagine how many I actually take! (I dont even post them all...not even close!) Anyways... in these last few pictures, we were just about done trick or treating.(we were in my sis-in-laws neighborhood) Well, Maddi walked up to the door with her cousins, and when the people opened it, she just walked right in and sat on their stairs!!!! She kept a very serious look on her face as we were all laughing and wondering what in the world she was thinking! She stayed there until her older cousin went in and grabbed her hand and led her out! It was quite funny. The neighbors said she was so cute that she could just stay...but I love my kitty to much!! She tried to do it again at the next house, but I was ready that time! What a silly girl!

The top picture is Maddi's first door trick or treating! She was a big girl and always wanted to walk, not be carried!

Pumpkin and Kitty

Maddi would NOT let us paint a nose or whiskers on her!! Of course she colored all overself with a pen the other day, but then when we actually WANT to "color" on her...she REFUSED...thats what I was looking forward to the most (the whiskers), but all we got was a little smear on her nose (the pictures show what she DIDN't wipe off!) ohh well...

Maddi had lots of fun trick or treating. She didnt want to pose for pictures though!

Well, Madison was excited to get dressed into her kitty outfit, but then she freaked out while I was getting her dressed. I sewed a purple boa on her pants as her tail, and she did NOT want it on there, she wanted to hold it! Luckily it was really long, so I cut it in half and let her hold the extra, and she sort of forgot about her tail... and was happy again! SHEESH!! Luckily the rest of then night went great and she had lots of fun!

27 Weeks!!

An update on the belly size...do I look any bigger? (I feel bigger..) My next doctors appt is on the 5th!

Mommy's dress

Sunday night Maddi disappeared for a few minutes, I knew she was in one of her usual hiding places, I quickly found her and about made her jump out of her skin when I said her name...she was "hiding" and putting on my dress that she had pulled out of the laundry room! She was so happy to be wearing Mommy's dress, and wore it for the rest of the night!
